Writing Blogs

As an author, you are expected to have a blog. In fact, publishers almost require it. The following are blogs from writers in the Oshkosh area that I know and follow:

I have known Dixie for many years. In fact, we cohosted the Author Showcase of Oshkosh together. She has many books published and coming out. In addition, she provides editing services.

Author Sally Cissna

Sally writes about her family’s history in Woodstock, Illinois. In a way it is a family history, but she fictionalizes it so that it comes alive and you get a real feel of the early 1900s. Her blog is often additional information.

Sally is a great story teller.

Jeffrey McAndrew is an author, musician, and podcaster from Fond du Lac. Dixie and I interviewed him for The Author Showcase.  Dixie set it up and I was excited to find out that I had read his book about his son with autism a few years ago.

Juliet Rosetti

About the Author Juliet grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and was an avid reader from the moment she could recite the alphabet. She wrote her first story at age seven and has been writing ever since. Her jobs have included factory worker, waitress, encyclopedia salesperson, and teacher.

Oshkosh Area Writers Club (oshkoshwriters.blogspot.com)

The Oshkosh Area Writers Club was created to share in the common interest of creative writing; inspire and motivate members to write; and provide a supportive forum for constructive feedback. Membership is free and open to anyone 17 years of age or older. For more information, please email oawc@aol.com

I am a member of this group. Almost all of my published stories were read and critiqued on Saturday mornings at The Oshkosh Public Library. Many years ago, I helped put together our anthology. Hearts We Know By Stories.
