Oshkosh Poet Laureate

Mayor Lori Palmeri introduced the idea of a Poet Laureate. I am so thankful she did. I am so thankful for the city council for supporting this initiative. And I always appreciate the library for their strong support of literacy and creativity.

This open mic was held as part of the Poet Laureate Program in Oshkosh. #Poetry and #Prose is part of a conversation our how to enjoy our lives. Dixie Jarchow is a former Geologist and reads an interesting story, Cal Smith reads his essay on eggs. Joyce Frohn reads a poem about elderly relatives. Patrick McCorkle reads his poem about Aaron Rogers’ departure. Elisabeth has some powerful poetry with a beautiful use of language.
