There has to be a purpose to coincidences. I just experienced two and they are sort of connected. To be fair, not earth- shattering coincidences like I accidentally sold the gun that someone used to shoot me. But interesting (I hope).

I got offered a contract for a novel from All That Matters Press. There is a Writer’s Beware warning, but that was from a long time ago. So I looked up one of their writers. Chose them at random.  

Marylee Macdonald. She was extremely helpful. Fair, truthful, and smart with what she told me.

She told me what I needed to know. I then mentioned this to my friend. Dr. William Gillard. He turns out he also had a book through ATTMP. He told me about his experience. 

So I signed.

Then I went to a poetry reading and one of the speakers had a book through ATTMP.  They are located in the East and I am in Wisconsin.

So I am reading Macdonald’s book Surrender. (Which is a great memoir 5 stars!)

Bob Newhart died yesterday and then I read a line in her book where a boy just bought the Album- “The Button Down Mind.”

Okay, maybe not even interesting.  But why did these things happen?  Why did she include the album name and why did I read that sentence today with Bob Newhart on my mind?
