Watching the parade, I was struck by a thought. A show of force is weakness. A military parade is about trucks and tanks. Our military equipment is impressive, but people are paid to build them.

The fourth of July parade is about community. More importantly its about the sacrifice of the men and women of our military. Their dedication without showboating, without being paraded by a king.

They are out military might.
