My Experience at WBOM Radio: Engaging with Local Poets

On October 14th, I attended James Hamilton's radio show and open mic in Rockford, Illinois, despite initial hesitation. Engaging with local poets like Luke Welch and Denali was rewarding. The night featured powerful performances, including a moving poem on autism. The event highlighted the vibrant Rockford poetry culture and community pride.
