Review of The Girl Behind the Glass by Iasiello, Emilio

This is the story of a man that has stalled out in his twenties. Mike has no desire to continue on his career path, but is not ready to take any changes. As a result, Mike is caught up in drinking and hanging out in a bar while trying to hold on to his hard-core drinking buddies. I think most men can relate to this. To spending too much time hanging out in bars with it not being enough anymore.

For me the setting of Washington D.C added to the story in a significant way and I enjoyed the places I went. I am not sure if the author got the feel of the city right, but it is an integral part of the story.

The characters were outlandish which is good, but still believable. Outlandish is important in characters. So is believable. That makes this story compelling. I could relate to the characters and yet experience things I would never dare do.

I recommend this book as it is a story that will linger in your mind.

I also enjoyed the originality of the story and of the plot.

I recommend this book as it is a story that will linger in your mind.
