Immediately after saying we should not engage in negativity on social media, I put a comment on someone’s blog post.

I replied To say the only way to be enlightened is to listen to someone that you already agree with is troubling.

Their reply was:

The proof that I should not have is that this person immediately reverted to name-calling. This person got a little dopamine from the exchange so that I only encouraged them.
