People that do not support the reversal of Roe V. Wade are not immoral Godless heathens that want a vile society. I mean, I am, but not for this reason.  I think prochoice people are more concerned with the reduction of freedom that it seems comes with it.  Many Christian lawmakers appear to want to send women back to being barefoot and in the kitchen. 

That is not to say that many Prochoice people are not thinking of babies and fetuses. They see it as wrong. I do not want to bash their beliefs.

I, for one, believe that abortions will remain even if they are illegal.  Those groups spending money on prochoice, will still fight it in courts.  They will be charities assisting women to be transported to states or countries that still have abortions. Girls will disappear from their families and have health emergencies on busses or in back allies.

Because we are now a global community, we know of children all over the world dying.  Money wasted on fighting abortions and fighting for choices could save actual children. I wish I had the insight to see that saving one fetus might cost the lives of many children in a third world country.

I know following the Bible is at stake.  However, if prochoice and prolife people could come together, real solutions could take place.  Prochoice people could tell a woman with a baby that they are still valued.  We will do whatever we can to help you have this baby and keep or give it to a loving family.  Prochoice people would be free to say, its your choice.  Abortion is an option, but please don’t because you will carry guilt and regret. On the other hand, there are many people ready to help you including churches.

I believe that the majority of women that given options and support, would chose to keep the life.  There are very few women that are out having sex and use abortions as birth control.

They may be immoral, but I liken it to racist police officers.  They may be filled with hate, but they are not out shooting people of color because they know it will ruin their life.
