Isn’t that normal- We Americans find out how to be strong and handle anything. We brag about how much stress we can handle. Like it makes us immune.
But the more stress we have, the unhealthier we are. Maybe maintaining a low threshold of stress is the way to be healthy- find ways to unburden oneself.
Are you like me and think that maybe saying I can handle it does not work? Perhaps we should feel stress and think, how can I get rid of it. At the first signs of trouble, we should immediately think- I need to journal/meditate/exercise/get some help?
