Speak Through Poetry

How often do you not feel heard? You are saying something you think is important, but the other person is just waiting for you to finish, so they can speak. Even worse, they don’t wait. I believe this has become an epidemic, and perhaps it is because of the epidemic.

We need to communicate and not get things bottled up.

A poem is a get way to get everything we need to say out. To purge it from our minds. And it is not a one-way street. If we listen to each other, we will make each other feel connected.

Then when we take the time to edit and revise, we churn it up and expose it to the light of examination.

While doing so, our creative side makes it interesting and engaging so that people will take the time to hear you.

And maybe reflect on it

And maybe change.
